DESIGN APPROACH
How We Think About Tableware
We believe a dinner plate should be both useful and pleasing to look at. Its shape, pattern, and finish contribute to the feel of a meal and the table around it. Tearim™ places emphasis on balanced proportions, considered decoration, and details that feel special without making everyday dining feel formal.
A piece may be small, but it should still feel deliberate. We look for forms that hold their own from across the room while offering closer detail at arm’s length. This includes subtle surface variation, considered bases, metallic contrast, soft matte finishes, and details that reward repeat viewing.
DESIGN APPROACH
Three Principles We Follow
Balanced Form
We consider how each plate’s outline, rim, and proportions work together and how its design looks in an everyday place setting.
Considered Detail
Glazed ceramic surfaces, decorative patterns, and carefully finished rims give each plate its distinct character.
Easy to Style
Our goal is to offer designs with charm and personality while keeping the overall visual language refined and easy to style with other tableware.
